Join us on the night of Thursday, November 3rd, for the first annual The Stars at Night, a beer-and-boots gala celebrating ASF’s 25th anniversary, our Texas heritage, and our city’s writers and those who champion them.
Come for the country songs and dancing, and stay for the free cocktails, light snacks, and the bright view of the city skyline. This year we are thrilled to recognize two literary stars: Karan Mahajan for his novel The Association of Small Bombs and Deb Olin Unferth for her admirable civic contributions, in particular for her work with writers who are incarcerated in the Texas prison system.
The event will run from 7.30 till 11pm. Online ticket sales have now closed, but you can still grab your tickets at the door!
All proceeds go toward funding American Short Fiction‘s mission to support and promote the literary arts and writers, and to offer more opportunities to enjoy literature in our community. It will be a grand old countrified kick-off to a wonderful Texas Book Festival weekend in Austin.
HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY TO US!
